Laurie Berzack, MSW
As owner of Carolinas Matchmaker, Laurie has served singles across the Carolinas for nearly two decades, focused on matchmaking, dating strategy, and online dating management. Her unwavering passion for helping others find love is a lifelong dream that has come to life through her successful business and her podcast, Love on the Go™. Her expertise has garnered recognition from national and local media outlets, including Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and US News and World Report, as well as Charlotte’s FOX, CBS, and NBC affiliates.
Laurie holds a master’s degree in social work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a BA in English and psychology from Emory University. Married 31 years with two grown sons, Laurie’s personal happiness fuels her desire to help her clients find the same.
Jennifer Jones, MA
Jennifer is a true “people person” and genuinely loves making connections. A longstanding member of our client services team, Jennifer works closely with clients and prospective matches throughout the process to ensure every detail is carefully handled. Having lived in Charlotte since her early teens, Jennifer uses her knowledge of the community to facilitate quality introductions and matches. Her psychology degree from the University of Georgia and master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte give her a deep understanding of the complex components of human nature and interaction.
Jennifer has been happily married since 2001 and shares two young-adult daughters with her husband.
Molly Jarzmik, MSW
As client services specialist, Molly assists with matchmaking, dating strategy, and behind-the-scenes administrative work. She doesn’t just guide clients through the process; she uses her educational background in social work and psychology to provide supportive advice and healthy feedback. Our clients count on Molly as a steadfast source of support and care as they navigate the dating world.
Molly graduated from Wofford College in 2009 with a BS in psychology and earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2013. Happily married since 2012, she lives with her husband and dogs in their beloved city of Charlotte.
Joanna Lee, MA
As client concierge, Joanna plays a pivotal role in the matchmaking process by overseeing one of its most critical components: the introduction! Using insight gathered from both the client and the prospective match, along with her extensive knowledge of the area, Joanna thoughtfully selects the perfect venue for the introduction and remains on call during the date. Her proactive, attentive approach ensures everything runs smoothly, putting clients at ease and helping to alleviate any pre-date jitters. Her work begins long before the match, as she facilitates background checks to ensure safety and peace of mind. Then, after the date she gathers valuable feedback from both parties.
Originally from small-town Ohio, Joanna moved to Charlotte in 2006 and has been with Carolinas Matchmaker since its very early days. In addition to her psychology degree from The College of Wooster and master’s degree in education from Kent State University, she shares Laurie’s passion for helping others find happiness.
